Don’t get too confident when you read the title and put a verdict on yourself depending on the experiences of Nexus’s reputation. Gionee Elife E7 is certainly a great challenger that has shivered the Android market with its hardcore specs that can take on the most powerful flagships. If you don’t with us,
let’s see the differences of Gionee Elife E7 and Google Nexus 5.
Both of these devices are the flagships from their respective manufacturer. Gionee has provided their own design and parts into their E7 which is a product of huge successor E6. On the other hand, Google has designed its Nexus 5 and it’s
been launched from LG. Google will provide 18 months of latest Android version and updates to this device but Gionee won’t get this privilege.
There’s no beating in Nexus 5’s design. Those thin bezels and less weight will certainly amaze anyone. But, Gionee isn’t too far behind Nexus in this case. Both of them sport a nice glossy screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Gionee is a bit larger than Nexus 5 as it features a 5.5-inch screen while the Nexus has a 5-inch screen. These two devices have a premium finish although they’re made out of plastic. Although, Gionee is a bigger, it feels right onto your palms perfectly.
Both of these devices feature 1080p display while the Nexus is a bit ahead for its sharper text display as it has 445 ppi. Gionee also features 404 ppi which is pretty amazing but compared to Nexus, it’s a bit less.
In paper, Gionee has blasted the Android market with its powerful specs. Comparing the benchmarks test, Nexus 5 couldn’t beat Gionee Elife E7. There’s no denying that these devices are immune to all sorts of lagging and multitasking glitches. Powered by Snapdragon 800, Gionee and Nexus 5 performed almost equal but in certain cases the performance of Nexus 5 was a bit lay off since Gionee packed more RAM horsepower than Nexus. It packs 3GB RAM whereas Nexus has only 2GB. It certainly is a big difference which reflected on the performance as well but it’s hard to point that out since they’re incredibly fast and GPU is mind-blowing as well.
Certainly, Nexus 5 didn’t pack or reveal the best camera that the users were expecting this time. We’ve heard many bad reviews even after the camera update pack for Nexus though it showed vast improvement. In this regard, Gionee is clearly the winner. It packs the industry leading technology in camera department that can put other flagships into shame and misery. It has a 16MP primary camera with a larger 1.34micro pixel lens which can produce clearer and sharper images that’s worth of some Aww-ish moments. Gionee wins on the front camera department with its 8MP camera as well. On the other hand Nexus 5 only has a 8MP rear and 1.3MP front camera.
Gionee also has a bit advantage over Nexus on its battery capacity as it can last longer. None of these devices support any external memory capacity or connectivity issues. So, it’s pretty hard to choose one winner. Comparing all of the sectors we won’t say Gionee is the winner but it certainly has an upperhand over Nexus. But, Nexus is more popular and it will receive more developer support as well.
