Jiake P6 Review – Should You Buy it?

Jiake has made its entrance to the smartphone sector just about a few weeks ago and it’s already held its grip with the Chinese manufacturers. So, this new device is Jiake P6 and it’s pretty keen to score against all the other cheap Quad-core smartphones out there on the market. Just a couple of days ago, Jiake V8 made its spectacular show with its MTC6592 Octa-Core processor and Antutu score of 27,000 nearly touching the flagship smartphones like HTC One, Galaxy S4 but within only $255. It’s a great deal among all the other Chinese manufacturers. So, let’s tune up for more Jiake action with P6.Jiake P6 Review – Should You Buy it?

Design and Display
Jiake P6 sports a nice 5-inch IPS screen with a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Unlike most other Chinese manufacturers it doesn’t sport a 1080p display. 1080p display screens are really common these days but this packs more than you can expect. It provides a greater quality HD display for smooth image projection.

Jiake has provided a nice design with thin bezels. It features a Gorilla Glass 2 protection for scratch resistance. It accommodates three capacitive buttons on its front and on its back left top corner the Rear Camera resides. Just like a Samsung device, the volume rockers are on its left and the Power button is on right. It provides a better ability to control the device. The device can be operated single-handedly for its perfect button collaboration. It provides a nice fashionable design within 5-inch screen.

Specification
Jiake P6 has rendered a MediaTek Quad-Core processor in itself with MT6582 coupled with 1GB RAM. This bundled package serves Antutu score of 16,356. So, it’s pretty close to Nexus 4. For a cheap device like this, you’re getting more than you bargain for. It also packs an amazing Mali400 GPU for better gaming and app performance.

Storage Facility and OS
This device is equipped with 8GB Internal storage as ROM and you can expand its storage up to 16GB with a TF Card. It’s a bit disappointing since most other devices come up with a support of at least 32GB. People who like to keep a lot of items in their devices will find this smartphone not handy at all. The OS will take 2.5 GB. So, you’ll get a free space of only 5.5 GB for usage.

Currently this device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the UI is pretty good. It gave no lag while running multiple apps and the device seemed great and clean on its stock ROM.

Camera & Video
It packs a 13MP rear and 8MP front camera. The front camera is surprisingly good as most other cheap manufacturers wouldn’t put such an amazing camera lens in a cheap smartphone. But, Jiake did it quite right. The 13MP rear camera can take smooth images while maintaining good white balance. You can touch to focus or use its built-in touch system. It can also shoot 1080p videos.

Within $174, Jiake P6 performed quite right with its specification. The device is quite sturdy and doesn’t feel cheap at all. It also features a massive 2,200 mAh battery which can last you throughout the day. Give this little champ a try, it won’t disappoint you.
