Reportedly, Xolo, a subordinate brand of Lava Mobiles, is preparing to bring out a series of quad-core smartphones. The new series would be named as Qcore and will only comprise quad-core smartphones. Under this series of smartphones, Xolo will be launching 4 quad-core devices within next 2 months. And according to a report, Xolo Q800 will be the first one among these smartphones to be launched, which could be priced around Rs.12000/- to Rs.13000/-. And there is a high probability that the Q800 will give a tough competition to other quad-core smartphones in this price range from the manufacturers like Micromax and Karbonn.

Xolo Q800

The Xolo Q800 is expected to be launched officially by mid-March. However, as we’ve informed you, currently there is no information on accurate pricing; however, we do have some information on its features and specifications. The smartphone would boast a 4.5 inch capacitive touch screen and will run on Android Jelly Bean i.e. v4.1. It would have a quad-core, as stated above. That’s all we have till now, but we expect that it would also feature a RAM of 1 GB, 8 Megapixel camera, front facing camera, 3G, Dual SIM and WiFi.

On the other hand, Micromax A116 Canvas HD has been in the public interest since its launch on 14th February i.e. Valentine’s Day. The gadget managed to gather loads of appreciation from its buyers. Not to mention, the smartphone also achieved a milestone for being sold-out within 24 hours from its availability over SnapDeal. The smartphone boasts 5 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS touchscreen and run on Android Jelly Bean version 4.1.2. The smartphone, of course, has a quad-core processor which clocks at 1.2 GHz. The processor comes equipped with 1 GB of RAM and PowerVR Series 5XT GPU. Other features of the smartphone include 8 MP rear camera with LED Flash, 2 MP front camera, 4 GB on-board memory, 32 GB expandable memory, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, G-Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor and many more. The device acquires its power from a 2000 mAh battery.

Another smartphone from Lava i.e. Xolo A1000 is currently being retailed on Flipkart carrying a price tag of Rs.13999/-. Also one more forthcoming flagship smartphone named as ‘Lava Iris 430’ has recently been spotted on the official website of Lava. So it seems Lava is now on a launching spree. However, it would be interesting to see if the Xolo Q800 could gather as much appreciation as the Micromax A116 Canvas HD.
