If you can remember, at MWC earlier this year, LG had showcased its Optimus F series smartphones, which are kind of mid-end. And recently it has announced that one of them, to be precise, the LG Optimus F5 is going to be rolled-out globally, just as it promised. The smartphone will first go on sale in France tomorrow and some European countries are next in line. Not only that, it will be made available in America (Central & South) and Asia in the coming weeks. So we could expect its launch here in India as well.
Like we said, the Optimus F5 smartphone is sort of mid-end, but it does have some decent specifications though. And the major one among them is 4G LTE connectivity. Other than that, the smartphone features a 4.3 inch IPS touchscreen with 540×960 pixels (qHD) resolution resembling 256 ppi pixels density. As you would have expected, it runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. It has a powerful dual core Qualcomm processor clocking at 1.2 GHz equipped with 1 GB of RAM.
It sports a 5 Megapixel autofocus camera that is placed at the rear of it with LED flash, it could capture images of 2592 x 1944 pixels and there is a 1.3 Megapixel camera at front as well. It comes with 8 GB of internal memory which is further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. In addition to 4G, there are usual connectivity options like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, aGPS etc. It is just 9.3 mm thick and is powered by a 2150 mAh battery.

Other than these, LG has provided some remarkable software with the smartphone such as Live Zooming, QTranslator, QuickMemo, Upgraded QSlide, Safety Care, Video Wiz and lots more. The upgraded QSlide feature lets users run two apps simultaneously and that too in full screen mode. They can even change the size of the apps, their positions and transparency as per their preferences. And the other feature called ‘Live Zooming’ lets users to zoom into a certain region of a playing video.
