You can also manually check for the update by just opening the ‘Settings’ > ‘About Phone’ > ‘Software Update’ > ‘Update’ options. You can also connect your smartphone with your PC and get a hold of the update via Samsung Kies app. If you already have the app on your PC you can easily update your smartphone. But if you don’t want to take risk then we’d suggest you to wait for the OTA update, it will eventually hit your region.

The update brings Jelly Bean OS (Software build number B5330XXUBMD2) to your smartphone that consists of several features including Google Now integration, enhancements to user interface, notification and Project Butter and much more. Just for the record, it’s the Jelly Bean v4.1.2 Jelly Bean not v4.2. But don’t be disappointed, there’s not much difference between these two.
