Samsung Galaxy Music (Model No: GT-S6010), the Single SIM variant is currently receiving Jelly Bean firmware update in the United Kingdom. The update is being rolled out Over The Air (OTA) and the users of this smartphone could also grab it via Samsung KIES app. The Jelly Bean version of the Android that is being rolled out is 4.1.2. It seems that the roll-out will be in phases and currently we have no idea which region is next in the line. And we think, the dual SIM variant of the smartphone i.e. Samsung Galaxy Music (Model No: GT-S6012) will be next to receive Jelly Bean v4.1.2 update.
The smartphone Samsung Galaxy Music was first announced in the month of October last year and recently its dual SIM variant went for sale in the country. Samsung assured last year that it would provide Jelly Bean update for some its Galaxy series devices and that’s what Samsung is doing now. A number of devices have already received the update and the some others will be receiving in the coming months.
However, the Jelly Bean update brings quite a few significant features and improvements to the device. The update includes the advanced TouchWiz Nature UX user interface of Samsung. Also there is project butter, Google Now etc. The performance of the device has been enhanced. Now device will run faster and the battery life would be better. Other than that, you’ll be exploring lots more.
The device actually comes with Android v4.0.4 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system onboard. It features a 3 inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen with 240 x 320 pixels resolution and 262 k colors. There is a 3 Megapixel camera at the rear of the handset. It includes an 850 MHz Cortex A9 single core processor along with 512 MB of RAM. In addition, its inbuilt storage capacity is up to 4 GB. It has an accelerometer, a digital compass and proximity sensor. A battery with 1300 mAh capacity makes it run. Having 110 x 59 x 12.25 mm dimensions it weighs around 107 grams. Its connectivity features include 3G HSUPA, 2G (EDGE/GPRS), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct, USB v2.0, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack etc.
